Happy New Year From the Pacific Northwest!

I wish/hope/pray this year is filled with inspiration, opportunity and love for everyone. I'm grateful that 2012 gave me and my family a healthy new, little person to nurture. A little person that my doctors and my medical history didn't think was possible. I feel so blessed. But 2012 was a difficult and sad year for many people across the world and our nation. And I pray, for those who are sad and scared, may find peace and comfort in the years to come.

To quote a Matthew Dowd tweet, "hope...the new year ahead is all you dreamed of and desire. Pretend you have the courage."

My little (grown up) brother made this little video from my parents balcony on New Year's Day. Love the light and those PacNW mountains!

Yes indeed I expect to see wonderful things for both you and I this year! Motherhood is a fabulous job in and of itself. I had to laugh when you said laundry cause I still have to do all that as well. Help with homework and cook and be judge and jury to my husband of almost 20 years and my 12 year old preteen. It's busy then ever before. You are blessed indeed and the fact that you know it is something so special don't lose sight of that. Yes you have had some rough patches, but that's what makes us strong. The fact that you come through on the other side means so much. Prayer is such a wonderful vehicle to get us through every single day. Hope that the little one is doing well and wishing you and praying for such wisdom and guidance and comfort for you and yours. Hugs!

Happy NEW YEAR!!!! Thanks for all the positive feedback on my blog and FB and everywhere. You are the best. I wanted to answer your CS6 question. Sorry if it ends up being a duplicate. Here is what I said in a repy to your comment:
"I like CS6 okay. I am still really intimidated but am getting more comfortable. I wake up in the middle of the night with these lightbulb moments of understanding on what I did wrong with a setting, functionality, etc. I've learned some keystroke shortcuts which are fun... L for lasso tool, B for brush. I agree, it is addicting. But, my weakness is painting and color so I am still trying to gain confidence in not over doing and trying to hard with either. I really want the work to look more playful."

Whew...that was long winded. Can't wait to see your new masterpieces :) *waiting patiently* :)))))))

So good of you to visit, Michaele! I am stealing 15 minutes of internet access at my inlaws to pop by and say hello!! I am hoping you are well. I had to laugh at your little one's reaction to the phone cord..that is hilarious. My girls have those moments and I feel so darned old. It's all good..they will become retro-cool someday right? : ) Have a super rest of the week!!
