Character in My New Sketch

I've been scrambling working hard to get my portfolio all ready for the SCBWI Western Washington conference in April. Here's a new lil' character I came up with for an illustration I'm working on. The theme: friends helping friends. He'll be flying/trailing along with the help of his butterfly friends. Can't wait to post the rest!

I love this little guy and your teaser of a concept. There is just pure joy emanating from those eyes and smile. I can't wait to see the rest.
